Time Bandits Creature Concept Art

Here's some creature Concept Art I did for Time Bandits! One thing that was incredible to experience was to design a dinosaur puppet emerging from it's egg. The intention was to lean into the comedy and apply that to the design. I did a 3D concept sculpt that was passed on to Weta Workshop and they made the puppet for real. Getting to visit the workshop and see the creature come to life was a big career highlight :)
The show was a lot of fun to work on and I got to infuse the artwork with some humor from time to time! It was amazing to see the talent of all the film crew executing so much varied and beautiful work with miniatures, set builds and VFX. I’m grateful I got the chance to be a part of this from preprod to post, thanks to Tobias Wolters, Max Serges, Will Reece and the rest of the team.
